Major Venezuelan Aviation Academy Enables Bitcoin Payments as Crypto Adoption Keeps Rising in the Country – Emerging Markets Bitcoin News

Venezuela’s main aviation academy has announced the launch of the cryptocurrency after allowing bitcoin payments. Caracas Air is now accepting crypto payments for those who want to take one of their courses.

The Academy was launched in 2015

According to a statement from CEO Oliver Laufer, the academy will also offer discounts and financing plans for those who wish to pay in bitcoins (BTC). In general, Caracas Air is known as the best known, developing and certified aviation academy in Venezuela.

The company trains nearly 900 students annually with its clients, whose training programs are certified by the Venezuelan Aviation Authority (INAC). Laufer founded the academy in 2015 with his brother after purchasing a Cessna 172 Skyhawk aircraft to operate the school.

Persons certified by Caracas Air may obtain a permit approved by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Caracas Air is the first ICAO-certified aviation school in Venezuela to offer payments in BTC.

Programs that can pay students with cryptography include those for flight attendant training, flight controllers, professional instructors, safety management systems (SMS), reduced vertical minimum distance (RVSM), and performance-based navigation (PBN).

However, the company did not disclose what discount percentage people are entitled to when paying with bitcoins.

Adoption of crypto-currency continues to support Venezuela’s rise despite crisis

This announcement follows a series of similar announcements in various sectors across the country. As reported in March 2021, customers of Venezuela’s largest satellite television provider can now pay their monthly bills in cryptocurrencies.

Simple TV announced that it had enabled the feature for more than four million users whose homes the company replaced with Directv.

In addition, crypto-friendly solutions are emerging in Venezuela for freelancers to overcome the difficulties of processing payments with foreign fiats, such as. B. Venezuela Workers, a Venezuelan freelance platform that connects local freelancers with international employers willing to take on a specific project or task.
