Tech giant Microsoft appears to be considering introducing bitcoin (BTC) payments into its Xbox online game console store.
According to a Reddit post on the 21st. In March on r/XboxSeriesX, Microsoft surveyed Xbox users about their favorite payment methods in its online store.
Which of these other payment methods would you like to use on the Xbox?” the alleged poll said, citing bitcoin as a possible payment method. The same picture occurs in several other sub-debates, including r/ethtrader and r/Bitcoin.

An Xbox user said the survey is available if you participate in the Xbox Insider program for beta testing of updates to the operating system.
Microsoft did not immediately respond to Cointelegraph’s request for comment.
In 2014, Microsoft began accepting bitcoin to fund Microsoft accounts, allowing U.S. users to purchase Windows content, including Xbox games. After a brief hiatus in payments, Microsoft resumed bitcoin payments for the MS Store in January. Payments with crypto-currencies are not currently supported by the Xbox Online Store.
While it is willing to accept bitcoin as a means of payment, Microsoft has no plans to get into cryptocurrencies like Tesla. Chief executive Brad Smith said the company had no plans to diversify into cryptocurrencies after Tesla invested $1.5 billion in bitcoin.
